§ 8. Corporate authority vested in city council, marshal and appointed officers.

The corporate authority of the said City of Arcadia shall be vested in the city council and marshal, and such other officers as may be appointed and constituted according to the ordinances of said city. No person shall be eligible to any office who shall not be a citizen of the State of Florida and a qualified voter of said city and state.
