§ 106-2. Rate card; identification signs on vehicles.

  • Every vehicle authorized to be operated under this chapter shall have printed on suitable cards the rate of charges prescribed by the owner or by law, and shall have such card conspicuously displayed in the vehicle which is so placed for hire, and shall have a sign attached to or printed upon the vehicle reading "taxicab" or "for hire," as the case may be, and the lettering of the sign shall be of sufficient size as to be visible at a distance of 25 feet to the ordinary eye.
