§ 2-155. Resolution; enforcement of codes by other means.

  • (a)

    By resolution, the city council shall have the authority to proscribe proper and necessary forms, rules, and regulations governing the notice and initiation and procedural conduct of special master hearings. Such rules and regulations, together with this division, shall be on file at the office of the city marshal and shall be furnished to any alleged violator upon request and without cost.

    (b)

    The enforcement of codes pursuant to F.S. Ch. 162, Part I, is an additional and supplemental means of obtaining compliance with local codes. Nothing contained herein shall prohibit the city from enforcing its codes by any other means, including but not limited to, injunctive relief or criminal prosecution by the state attorney.
